We can submit your headshot to a myriad of different places and we obtain information from a multitude of different sources!

Resources

Production Charts
Production charts have been proven to be a invaluable resource.
These reports are not available to the general public and
contain a listing of all the projects that are being developed
or are in pre-production. Many of these projects have not even
established a casting director and we would be submitting directly
to the producer or the director.
These are the people who can actually HIRE you.
These listings allow us to submit to major projects before
they even hit the Breakdowns. This a tremendous advantage
because once a project hits the Breakdowns, everyone in Los Angeles
that owns a computer is trying to submit their headshot.  We have had
great success submitting directly to major producers and directors. As a direct result of GMA’s submissions to producers, we have had clients read for producers from: Sony Pictures, Mandalay Pictures, NBC, CBS, Lion’s Gate Films, and Nickelodeon!
Click here for a more detailed list of the auditions/jobs we have attained for our clients through these submissions.

On-line Services
We have found that many times the castings that appear online, request hard copies of headshots. This can be a very time consuming process, but we will be glad to do this for you!
If the casting director likes your headshot they are much more likely to keep a hard copy rather than an online submission. Online submissions are easily deleted.

Backstage West
Almost every week, one of our clients reads for a project that we submitted through Backstage West.
It is still a great resource and should not be discounted

Ross Reports
Daily Variety
The Hollywood Reporter
Also, we have industry contacts that provide us with excellent casting information

Types Of Submissions
At our initial meeting we will discuss the type of projects
you are interested in being submitted to

Union Films
Independent Films
Films in Development
Films in Preparation
Films in Preproduction
Production Companies
AFTRA Projects
Advertising Agencies
Commercial Casting Directors

Theatrical Casting Directors
Theatrical casting directors cast features, dramas and sitcoms. Some of the projects our clients have read for through these type of submissions include:
CSI:NY, Courtney Cox's "Dirt". ER, Alias, The Shield, Cold Case, West Wing, Without A Trace,
The Practice (client booked role), CSI: Miami and all four of the Los Angeles based soap operas.

Soap Operas
We have had NUMEROUS clients audition for and book roles on the soap operas. We have also had clients read for CONTRACT roles. We submit to the soaps on a regular basis and we provide you with CHECK-IN NUMBERS. These numbers allow you to check in with soaps after we have submitted your headshot

Non-Union Films
Many of the Independents (that go to Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes film festivals, etc.) may start out non-union and go union. Independent films provide a wonderful avenue for you to gain exposure and build your demo reel. When Hillary Swank did "Boys Don't Cry", she only made $75 per day, but won the Academy Award! Slingblade and Monster's Ball were two other Independents that received a lot of recognition.

We have had clients audition for these projects on the Sony lot,
on the Fox lot and also had another client that auditioned for
an independent that was being cast by a casting director affiliated
with Dreamworks. Even if a specific project does not go union,
if the casting director likes you they may keep your headshot
and call you in for another (hopefully union) project.

Also if the project wants to cast a union actor, they can sign an
Ultra Low Budget contract with SAG allowing union actors to be cast
in their film. Many times the determining factor if a film goes SAG or not, is if they hire SAG actors. We do NOT advocate union actors working in non-union films. If you are a union actor and you audition for an Independent film, please make sure the project has signed a contract with SAG before you begin filming.

Theatre
Many clients choose to do theatre productions. Doing theatre is a great to way be seen by people in the industry. You can invite casting directors, agents, managers to your production.

Graduate & Student Films
Graduate and student films provide an excellent vehicle to allow you get tape on yourself and to help build you reel. Also, many times students (especially graduate students) will submit their films to film festivals (Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, etc) and this would provide excellent exposure. Many graduate students will be working the next film industry and are excellent contacts. The very first film Amy Heckerling directed after she graduated from The American Film Institute was the mega hit "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". There are great contacts to be made from doing graduate and student films!
